How the Three Valves Work in Synergy — The Full Process of Eaton Transmission Pneumatic Control

The pneumatic control system of Eaton transmissions does not rely on a single valve. Instead, it operates through highly coordinated work of the A-4740 Air Filter Regulator, A-5000 Slave Valve, and K-3331 Splitter Valve to complete air preparation, distribution, and range shifting.

The full working process is as follows:

Vehicle air supply enters the A-4740 Air Filter Regulator, where it is filtered and regulated to stable working pressure.
Clean, regulated air splits into two paths: one to the exhaust valve, the other to the master control valve.
The driver selects a range via the shift lever, and the master control valve sends the signal to the A-5000 Slave Valve.
The A-5000 Slave Valve switches air circuits according to the range signal, pushing the range cylinder to achieve low/high range shifting.
The K-3331 Splitter Valve manages synchronized air distribution, ensuring consistent operation and balanced pressure.

Each valve has an irreplaceable role:

A-4740 Air Filter Regulator ensures clean and stable air supply;
A-5000 Slave Valve executes range shifting;
K-3331 Splitter Valve guarantees synchronized multi-circuit air distribution.
